FAQ
Q: What is the LinkedIn Challenge?
A: The LinkedIn Challenge starts with a 3-5 minute goal-setting exercise where you’ll select evidence-based actions for improving your LinkedIn presence. You’ll then get a personalized 3-week plan, and receive reminders for the next three weeks to help keep you on track. The actions in the plan should take at most 30 minutes a week, depending on the actions you select.
Q: Who is running this program?
A: The LinkedIn Challenge is a project managed by Sophia Pink, a PhD candidate in Wharton’s Operations, Information and Decisions Department. It is not a marketing or recruiting initiative.
Q: Who is invited to participate in the LinkedIn Challenge?
A: We are sending out invitations to people who have recently been active on LinkedIn.
Q: How will I benefit from participating?
A: This program will suggest evidence-based goals for improving your presence on LinkedIn. Then, it will build a personalized, three-week program to help you work towards those goals.
Q: Does it cost money to participate?
A: No. Wharton is a non-profit and we are not earning money from this. We are researchers studying how to help people reach their career goals.
Q: What if I get an invitation and I do not want to participate?
A: No worries! Just delete our invitation. If this isn’t for you, we understand.
